Nikki & Nick - wedding

I had been looking forward to Nick and Nikki's wedding for almost a year as I had the pleasure of meeting them both whilst I shot a relatives wedding last year! We were all looking forward to a summers wedding with high temperatures and sunny skies, but unfortunately the British Summer decided to go abroad this year and we were left with probably the wettest day in July in history!!!!! Luckily I had seen the forecast and had suggested umbrellas and as a joke even wellies, Nikki's mum loaded the car with the wet weather gear so we would be ready "just in case!!" My goodness did it rain???!!!! We were blessed with ten minutes without rain so we put on the wellies and went outside for the couples shoot, Nick and Nikki were great sports and even found themselves paddling ankle deep at Rookley Country Park in what would normally be dry ground! The weather added to the fun and festivities of the day and we used the situation to our advantage in every way we could! I would like the thank Nick and Nikki for being such great sports and not allowing the weather to spoil the day at all and as for me, all I can say is that this was one of the most memorable weddings days to date, not for the bad weather, but for the love, support and emotion that the day was blessed with.
