Maria & Mark
06th January 2012
06th January 2012
A New Years Eve wedding had been planned for Maria & Mark and infact this wedding had been booked at least 18 months in advance, so you can imagine the excitement on the morning when everyone realised the day had arrived!!!! Maria looked stunning in a Beth Smith gown with layers of net and a sweetheart bodice accompanied by five beautiful bridesmaids in either amethyst purple or cream gowns. The wedding was held at one of my favourite locations at Albert Cottage Hotel in East Cowes and Finishing Touches in Ryde had decorated the room with pure style and elegance. During the ceremony there wasn't a dry eye in the house, the bride and grown had provided their own vows and the words said were very emotional and heartfelt. As for me, this was a magical wedding to end 2011 with and Emma Watts photography would like to wish Maria and Mark a wonderful married life together not to mention all my wonderful couples I have had the pleasure in working for in 2011.

Katie-Jayne and Craig - Wedding
11th December 2011
11th December 2011
I had been looking forward to this wedding for a very long time as it gave me the opportunity to sample a completely new venue for me!!! Katie-Jayne and Craig had chosen the HMS Warrior in Portsmouth Dockyards to hold their special day. Although a cold December day the intimacy of the occasion gave a wonderful warmth to the day. in a unique style we travelled to the venue via Island line and Wightlink and walked the bride round to the ship. Once onboard Katie-Jayne used the Captains quarters to dress and the cabin is still as it was used too be when the ship fought for King and country!! Katie-Jayne's special wish for the day was to have her picture taken with the famous wheel which is inscribed with the words "Princess is much pleased" whilst in the arms of her handsome husband Craig in full naval blues. The bride was attended by four beautiful bridesmaids in a classic navy blue and white and she held an elegant bouquet of roses in cream and red with navy ribbon to compliment. Emma Watts Photography wishes Katie-Jayne and Craig all the very best for their future lives together.

A sunny autumn day saw me with Katherine and her gorgeous kiddies, Freya and twins Callum and Evie. The kids loved the camera and performed like two pro's for me, jumping off logs and sea walls, playing Boo with me from behind the beach huts and generally having a very special time with mum!!! Such a lovely family, producing a great set of images for mum - Katherine even told me that the pics made her cry with joy - so good job done!!!!! Some images can be found over at the sneak peek wall xxx

27th November 2011
It is always a pleasure to do a family shoot and it is even more special when I know the family involved. Mel, Shawn and the kiddies were fabulous in front of the camera and made the shoot a really fun time - poor parents got covered in fallen leaves, jumped on and hugged to pieces - all in the days work for a parent lol!!!!!! The kids played on the sands and just enjoyed each others company. Check over at the sneak peek gallery for a sample of the day. xxx

I love family shoots, meeting new people and capturing some quality time together, this shoot was no exception. I had already met this family at the beginning of the year when I second shot for Martin at wightphotography.com at Emily's wedding to Steve. Emily wanted to get some shots of her with her brother and sister for Christmas presents and so we had great fun at Appley Beach with the camera having fun like siblings should lol!!! A great gift idea if you're not quite sure what to get your parents for birthday or Christmas and makes a fab change to socks he he!!!! Check over at the sneak peek gallery to see a sample from the day xx

Mavis' 80th surprise party
20th November 2011
20th November 2011
I love a surprise party and this one celebration had all the family joined together to wish their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother a very happy surprise birthday party. The gathered group of friends and family waited patiently for Mavis to arrive at the Portland Pub in Gurnard. A fine feast greeted her with champagne and oodles of sweet treats for the younger party goers. Photographs of Mavis' 80 years and tales and stories echoed around the room. I wish I could bottle the moment when the crowd shout "SURPRISE", I love it every time!!!!! Emma Watts Photography would like to wish Mavis' a fantastic 80th year and wishes for many more to come xxxxx

My pride and joys!! My Boys!!!
18th November 2011
18th November 2011
It's always harder taking pics of my own kid, they'd rather be doing something else rather than pose for me, but luckily - for one time only - they let me have 30 mins of their day!!! They are growing so fast so I'm glad I have these images of them both!

Baby James
15th November 2011
15th November 2011
Wow what a fantastic shoot this was - Baby James is just 5 weeks old and such a handsome little chap. He was the perfect model for the day and bless him he even managed to sleep on his Dad's second pride and Joy - the guitar!!! Always a different shoot with boys as they dont look so cool in a hat box with a flower, but thanks to Chic Antique in Union Street Ryde I managed to borrow a fab F&M hamper!!! Christmas is too nearly upon us and to add a splash of colour we put James in a cute romper and he looked like Santa!!! Bless you Little James - you are a superstar!!!!

13th November 2011
Last Sunday I headed off to Puckpool Park to meet The Merry's! They had been given a family shoot gift voucher for a present. They were all a little nervous to start with as it can be a bit daunting if you're not used to having your picture taken , but after a few minutes we were all off and running - literally after the football!!!! we had a great time and eventough it's the end of November almost we still enjoyed some sunshine and mild temps on the beach at Appley. A great shoot!!!

AAh this little lady was a superstar and only 11 days old too, happily sitting on my bean bag whilst I snap away, so comfy that she fell straight asleep and mum adding a beanbag to her list of new born needs!!! New borns are so unpredictable that it makes for a fab shot as you never know what they will do next. An absolute pleasure to photograph xxx

Beki's Baby Shower
06th November 2011
06th November 2011
This was a first for Emma Watts Photography in being asked to shoot a "Baby Shower". Seems a lot of American ideas are catching on over here nowadays. The idea of the party was to celebrate Beki's forthcoming arrival and her girl friends put on a fab party for her. They played silly games such as "Guess whats in the nappy", smash the pram piniatta, guess the bump circumference and guess that taste of the baby food - oow!!!! Beki had a fab time and Emma Watts Photography is looking forward to the arrival of her little girl and doing a baby shoot with her soon xxx

Katie and Nick - wedding
06th November 2011
06th November 2011
Guy Fawkes night had arrived and with it brought the wedding day for Katie and Nick. Set at the stunning location of Bembridge Sailing Club meant we could enjoy the views of Bembridge Harbour and take a romantic stroll along the sand dunes and thankfully the weather was kind. Katie wore a stylish gown in ivory with lace frill detail and she was attended by the couple's daughter, cousin and brides best friend. Emma Watts Photography would like to wish Katie and Nick all the best for the future.

Baby Lily
02nd November 2011
02nd November 2011
This gorgeous little lady is the new arrival for friends of mine Melanie and Jerome. I'd kindly borrowed the fantastic hat box from Forget-me-not designs and was set to have some fun with this little lady, Lily had alternative ideas and wanted to watch what I was doing instead of sleeping!! she (nonetheless) enjoyed the experience and stayed awake for the 3 hours I was there and despite the pit stops for feeding and nappy changes we managed to get some cracking images - Many congratulations to Mel and Jerome - Lily is gorgeous xxx

Clary and James - wedding
30th October 2011
30th October 2011
The beautiful Catholic Church in Newport was the location for Clary and James' wedding. A full Catholic Mass ceremony was then followed by a reception at Shanklin's beautiful Landguard Manor, via a quick stop for photos' on Shanklin seafront. Clary wore an ivory dress detailed with a diamonte cross which was a present from the brides mother. Clary and James drove away from the church in a classic Ford Capri in orange with tin cans attached to the bumpy in a fab 1970's stylee! With a fancy dress box and sparklers to entertain the guests, the bride and groom made this a very memorable occasion. Emma Watts Photography would like to wish clary and James all the very best and looks forward to seeing them again soon when they visit the IOW in the future.

Carly and Brad - wedding
23rd October 2011
23rd October 2011
I found myself in Bristol for the wedding of Carly and Brad. A perfect day with the most glorious sunshine. Carly got ready at The Bristol Hotel which was located right on the riverbank and a stunning hotel and I was fortunate to stay at the same hotel too which made my job much easier. Carly then met up with Brad at Bath registry office for a very personal wedding service with close family and friends followed by a relaxed evening with hog roast and celebrations. Carly looked stunning in a lace gown with hand made bouquets and was attended by her sister and gorgeous son Nate. Emma Watts Photography would like to wish carly and Brad an amazing future together.

03rd October 2011
03rd October 2011
Well who'd have thought that a shoot on the 2nd October would have seen temps in the late 20's!??? Well that's what happened last week at Colemans Farm - Porchfield. I met four lovely families early on sunday morning to trot around after four fun 2 year olds - sounds easy you say!!!!!!!!! Well we played on the tractors, hunted for eggs in the barn, zipped on wires, hid in tyres, slid down slides and cuddle "Alan" the Guinea Pig!!!!!!! What a fun shoot and hopefully all four sets of parents are pleased with their pictures. Lexi, Maddie, Ruby and Freddie - thank you so much for smiling on queue and having lots of fun for the camera!!!
